Il s\u2019agit de <strong>Vimseltinib (nom commercial : Romvimza)<\/strong>. C\u2019est une avanc\u00e9e importante pour les patients qui, jusqu\u2019\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent, d\u00e9pendaient presque exclusivement de la chirurgie.<\/p>\n<p>Le TGCT est une <strong>affection rare et b\u00e9nigne, mais souvent tr\u00e8s g\u00eanante<\/strong> , qui se d\u00e9veloppe dans ou autour des articulations. La tumeur n\u2019est pas maligne, mais elle peut provoquer <strong>douleur, gonflement, raideur et dommages permanents aux articulations<\/strong>, entra\u00eenant de graves limitations dans la vie quotidienne. La chirurgie est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement la premi\u00e8re option, mais le risque de r\u00e9cidive est \u00e9lev\u00e9, surtout pour la forme diffuse du TGCT. Pour les patients qui ne peuvent pas subir d\u2019op\u00e9ration, les options th\u00e9rapeutiques \u00e9taient jusqu\u2019\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent tr\u00e8s limit\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00c0 propos de Vimseltinib (Romvimza)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Vimseltinib agit en bloquant le <strong>r\u00e9cepteur CSF1<\/strong>, une prot\u00e9ine impliqu\u00e9e dans la croissance du TGCT. Le m\u00e9dicament se prend sous forme de comprim\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019approbation par la <strong>Commission europ\u00e9enne<\/strong> repose sur les r\u00e9sultats de <strong>l\u2019\u00e9tude internationale de phase 3 MOTION<\/strong>. Dans cette \u00e9tude, les patients atteints de TGCT qui ne pouvaient pas \u00eatre op\u00e9r\u00e9s recevaient soit le vimseltinib, soit un placebo.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Principaux r\u00e9sultats de l\u2019\u00e9tude :<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>40%<\/strong> des patients recevant le vimseltinib ont montr\u00e9 une r\u00e9duction significative de la tumeur apr\u00e8s 25 semaines.<\/li>\n<li>Dans le groupe placebo, ce chiffre \u00e9tait d <strong>0%<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Les patients sous vimseltinib ont \u00e9galement ressenti moins de <strong>douleur et de raideur<\/strong>, une <strong>une meilleure mobilit\u00e9 articulaire<\/strong> et une <strong>higher quality of life.<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Selon les chercheurs, les effets secondaires \u00e9taient g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement <strong>g\u00e9rables<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>Une nouvelle option th\u00e9rapeutique<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>C\u2019est le <strong>premier m\u00e9dicament<\/strong> officiellement approuv\u00e9 pour le TGCT en Europe.
